Kondo spent his childhood in Northglenn and currently resides there with his wife & yellow lab, Cruz. A U.S. Naval Academy graduate, he served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the Indo-Pacific Region for 10 years. Upon leaving active duty, he earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and worked in various senior marketing and business development roles with Fortune 1000 Medical Device Companies. While concurrently working as a marketing executive, Kondo also continued to serve for 18 years as a Navy reservist and led seven different units as Commanding Officer or Chief of Staff. In addition to his role as a Northglenn Council Member he serves as President on North Metro Fire Rescue District's board and as Executive Board Secretary on the Denver Region Council of Governments - a consortium of 59 cities and counties that allocates Federal & State grant monies for transportation, senior services and environmental sustainability initiatives.
